Understanding DCOF Testing
Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCOF) measures slip resistance on hard surface flooring. While helpful in assessing slipperiness, traditional DCOF measurements don't account for all traction aspects.
ANSI A326.3 now mandates that hard surface flooring products be classified into five "product use classifications" that better communicate where products should be used—fundamentally important for tile purchasers and specifiers.
