The online exam is self-paced and typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Once you pass the online exam, you can schedule your practical exam at the next available date at a host location near you. Most installers complete the full certification within 2-3 months.

If you don't pass the online exam, you can retake it after a 30-day waiting period. For the practical exam, you'll receive detailed feedback from evaluators and can reschedule at the next available date. Additional fees apply for retakes.

Yes, CCTI certification is valid for 5 years. To maintain your certification, you'll need to complete continuing education requirements and renew your certification before it expires. TTMAC members receive renewal reminders and discounted renewal rates.

Yes, non-members can take the CCTI certification at $795 (compared to $595 for members). However, we strongly recommend becoming a member to save $200 on certification and access ongoing benefits like technical support, COOP purchasing, and industry networking.

You'll need to bring your own hand tools. The host location provides the 3'×3'×3' shower pod, tile, setting materials, and necessary substrate. A detailed materials list is provided when you register for your practical exam date.
